Mark Zandi is an American economist and co-founder of Moody’s Analytics and, where he directs economic research. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, grew up in Radnor, Pennsylvania, and went on to earn B.S., M.A., and Ph.D. degrees in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He currently resides in the Philadelphia suburbs.

Dr. Zandi’s expertise includes macroeconomics, financial markets, and public policy. His analysis of President Barack Obama’s American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan was used by White House economists Christina Romer and Jared Bernstein.

Zandi is regularly in the public eye as he has testified before Congress, frequently appears on CNBC, and is regularly cited in publications such as the New York Times and Wall Street Journal.
